Recurring Events

Songkran (Thai New Year)

The celebration usually takes place in the middle of April at the Monastery.

Kathina

Kathina robe offering ceremony occurs after the three-month rains retreat for the monastics. It is celebrated at the Monastery on a Sunday. Depending on the year, it may occur as early as the middle of October or as late as the middle of November.

Metta Parisa Meditation Group (Virtual)

A group of lay students meet weekly on the uposatha days (also referred to as lunar observance or moon days). These virtual meetings on Zoom occur at 7pm on Pacific Standard Time or 8pm Pacific Daylight Time, depending on the season. The format is chanting, listening to a prerecorded Dhamma talk by Ajaan Geoff, sitting meditation, and brief chants to dedicate the merits and spread goodwill.

Off-Site Teachings

Various meditation groups invite Ajaan Geoff to give teachings at their organization. Many of these events are hybrid (on-site attendance and virtual). The calendar typically will provide a link to the organizer's website on how to sign up for these events. If you're interested, please look out for these events on this calendar or via the respective organization's website. Periodically check the interested event as there may be last minutes changes.
